Dear Parents,

School Starting/Finishing Times
The school starting time will change from 9:20am to 9:10am after Easter. The day will finish at 1:50pm for infant classes and 2:50pm for all other pupils.

Sunny Days Childcare
A bus will operate to and from Sunny Days Childcare for any families interested is using the service. Sunny Days will transport children to school in the morning and collect pupils at the end of the school day. Please contact Sunny Days directly if you are interested in using the service for your child/children. Contact Cyril Hyland by phone on 087 2986590 or by email on glencorribchildcare@gmail.com. School Closure
Gortjordan N.S will be closed on April 18th 2018 as staff  have to attend an Oral language training day.

Football/Soccer
Well done to all the boys and girls from 4th to 6th class who recently took part in the Cumman na mBunscoil Mini Sevens.
The children from the Senior classes will take part in the FAI five aside Soccer competition on April 11th in Ballinrobe Town F.C.
A GAA coach will attend the school after Easter every Tuesday. The children will need to bring sports gear to school to change into as it will take place on the pitch where possible. This coaching will form the pupils P.E time for the last term. All classes from Senior infants to sixth class will receive coaching at two separate time slots.

School Parents Association
Following a recent Board of Management meeting it was decided that it would be a good idea to form a Parents Association in the School. It is hoped that a member of the Parents Council of Ireland will meet with parents before the end of the school year to explain how a parents association works prior to forming one.

First Holy Communion
Well done to Enan, Jack, Emma, Noelle and Conor who recently had their First Confession. First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday May 27th.
