Dear Parents,
The following are some upcoming events and dates to have in your diary!
Food Dudes
Letters have been sent home regarding The Food Dudes Programme. Gortjordan N.S. will take part in this programme over the coming weeks. The letter contains information on this.
Fundraising
This year we have changed around the timing of our usual fundraisers. The Cake Sale will take place around Easter time this year.
Flower Decorating Demonstration and Social Evening
Ann O’ Brien will host a Flower Decorating Demonstration on Dec. 13th in the school GP hall. Details are to be advertised shortly. We are asking for you all to support this evening by attending. It turned out to be lovely social occasion last year. As well as the flower demonstration there will also be tea/coffee and refreshments served on the night. Flower arrangements will be raffled off. Please encourage your friends, relations, neighbours etc.. to come out and support the school.
Christmas Draw
Tickets will be sent home/go on sale in the coming weeks for our annual Christmas Draw. We are looking for prizes so if anyone knows of anybody or is in a position to put up a prize please get in contact.
Christmas Concert/Play
This year both the Junior Room and Senior Room will present ‘Bethlehem the Musical’ on the evening of Dec. 20th at 7:00pm in the school GP Hall.
Clothes Collection
There will be a clothes collection on Nov 20th. Bag up your unwanted clothes, shoes, bedlinen, curtains etc… and leave them at the school side entrance (Ms. Hession’s old room). Spread the word!
Christmas Holidays: school is closed from Mon 25th Dec to Fri 5th Jan. Christmas holidays on Dec 22nd and school reopens Jan 8th 2018.
